Chilean Paz Errázuriz began taking photographs as a self-taught photographer in her native Chile during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship in the mid-1970s. To this day, she has spent her entire professional career in Chile, focusing on portraying themes, characters, and spaces dominated by marginalization and reclusion (vulnerable children, the mentally ill, prostitutes, transvestites, etc.), thus expressing her strong social commitment and her closeness and respect for the people she portrays. Visitors will now have the chance to see an overview of her work in the monographic exhibition dedicated to Errázuriz by the Mapfre Foundation.
