Family Activities at Poble Espanyol

Flamenco at el Tablao de Carmen
Ideal for an evening out with your family, partner or friends, the Tablao de Carmen is performing a pure, authentic flamenco show every evening, with a line-up of eight artists: four "bailaor" flamenco dancers", two guitarists and two "cantaor" flamenco singers.
An iconic place of Barcelona, located in the Andalucian quarter of the Poble Espanyol in Montjuïc. Since it was opened in 1988, it is considered the mecca of Flamenco in Barcelona. It was created in tribute to the legendary "bailaora", Carmen Amaya, who was a close friend of the family who owned it.

Quinzena Metropolitana the dance festival which will display all styles and genres to a potential audience of 5 million people. The festival will take place all over the metropolitan area of Barcelona, covering the municipalities of Barcelona, Badalona, Santa Coloma, L'Hospitalet, Cornellà, Espluges and others. The Gran Teatre del Liceu is one of Barcelona's iconic venues and among the world's most spectacular opera houses. It begins the new season with an ambitious series of performances. The season will feature major works such as Turandot, Carmen, Un ballo in maschera and Fidelio. The theatre will also be hosting dance performances featuring A Midsummer Night's Dream performed by the Ballet Dortmund and The Swan Lake performed by Ballet del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
There will also be concert performances of works by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Monteverdi. The Louis Vuitton 37ª America's Cup is the city's greatest sporting event of 2024. To mark the occasion, several local organizations, institutions, and facilities are organizing a Cultural Regatta. In the months before, during, and after the America's Cup, the city will be filled with cultural, artistic, culinary, scientific, and leisure activities open to both residents and visitors. These will include talks, exhibitions, art installations, shows, family activities, and much more at different venues around the city. In addition, the Port Olímpic, the venue for the America's Cup, will be reborn as a new urban space to host some of the activities.
This year, Moll de la Fusta will host the Race Village Festival during the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup competition. Ballet de Barcelona celebrates its 5th anniversary with a grand gala in which the company will perform Divergents, a choreography created especially for the occasion. Divergents explores issues related to time through movements that combine physical prowess and energetic movements with calmer, more intimate moments. All this to the rhythm of hip-hop and electronic and experimental music, making the show a fascinating piece.
