  Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya

  Inaugurated years ago as the world's first film festival dedicated to the fantastic genre, today it's become the region's biggest celebration of the moving image. The picturesque seaside town of Sitges, 30 minutes down the coast from Barcelona, hosts hundreds of films from around the globe, including animation, rom-com and gangster as well as its core themes of gore, horror and fantasy.

  La Patum de Berga

  The Patum de Berga is a truly ancient traditional festival. It is cultural phenomenon that grew out of the theatrical performances that used to accompany the Corpus Christi processions in the Middle Ages. The event is focused on fire, music and a series of symbolic characters.   Festival Jardins de Terramar

  Thanks to its Jardins Terramar Music Festival, Sitges has one more attraction helping to make it a first-rate tourist destination. This festival has established itself as a uniquely recreational, cultural, gastronomic and sensory experience. This festival, held in the Terramar Gardens, has been prepared taking into account the gardens' own biosphere and is based on sustainability. The festival will welcome renowned artists such as Ana Mena, Sopa de Cabra, Camela and Antònia Font. The festival also features different cuisines, a whole raft of recreational and cultural activities and a space specifically designed for showcasing local talent in music, theater, dance and painting.

  Salomon Ultra Pirineu

  The Salomon Ultra Pirineu is one of the most hotly anticipated mountain competitions. It is developed in the area surrounding the Bagà sporting pavilion and includes different races: The 100 km Ultra race, the 42km Marathon, the 21km 1/2 Marathon and a night race. A competition for the bravest in an idyllic setting in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

  Ironman 703 Barcelona

  A new physical and mental challenge will take place on October in Calella. Ironman 70.3 Barcelona is a competition with 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.2 km on foot in which 3400 athletes from over 80 countries will compete to reach the finish line. With routes along the Maresme Coast, Ironman 70.3 Barcelona includes two further races: Ironkids for the youngest among us and Irongirl which seeks to boost the participation of women in sports.

  Modernism Festival of Colonia Güell

  In order to promote the historical, cultural and artistic legacy of the Colonia Güell, the Modernism Festival has been held for the last twenty years. It is a day in which the working and modernist world at the end of the 19th century is recreated. The streets of the Colonia, located in the town of Santa Coloma de Cervelló, are filled with dramatized scenes of daily life from 100 years ago, with the incomparable backdrop of the modernist architecture of the Colonia.

This is one of the most important festivals of its kind in the world and every year it shows the top films on activities related to the mountain and nature.   The 44th edition of the Terrassa Jazz Festival will take place at various venues of Terrassa and the region of Vallès Occidental. Different activities, the majority concerts, and artists, both from today's national and international scene, will take over Nova Jazz Cava, and also squares, parks, patios, terraces and different administration buildings. The Festival covers movies, dance, swing, competitions, workshops, exhibitions and gastronomic routes, for jazz music to once again take the leading role.
