  Summer evenings at Palau Güell

  Palau Güell is celebrating the new edition of Evenings at Palau Güell. This has become a very special and unique event of summer evenings in Barcelona. The evenings will take place on the magical, incomparable terrace. This was where for the first time the architect Antoni Gaudí conceived chimneys as architectural sculptures. A band will be perform every evening with a special, unique style. Depending on the evening, music will range from the most classical jazz to musical styles like the soul, bossa nova or RnB.

  Cruïlla Festival is ideal for those people looking for top-notch indie and alternative musicians, along with smaller crowds and a more compact programme. Placed in the same venue as Primavera, the Parc del Fòrum, this year's programme has already got music fans excited: The Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne, Amaral, The Tyets, and Oques Grasses, to name but a few.

  Mercat de Música Viva de Vic

  Every September, the beautiful central Catalan town of Vic hosts an extensive 'market of live music', which this year celebrates its 36th anniversary, aimed at giving both professionals and the public the chance to hear a wide range of different genres and discover new acts, as they enjoy of concerts and related activities. A lot of the focus is on artists from Catalonia, Spain and the Mediterranean area, but musicians from other places can also be found on the programme.
  
  Performances, some of which are free, are given across the city at venues both indoors and out, including the emblematic Plaça Major, and throughout the event the streets are filled with buskers, adding to the musical extravaganza taking place. While there, it's also worth taking the time to explore Vic, a place rich with history, from the Roman temple to the cathedral, ecclesiastical museum, and medieval and modernista buildings. And don't forget to try the local gastronomic speciality, cured meats.

  Grec Festival de Barcelona

  The Grec, Barcelona's keenly anticipated annual festival of music, dance, circus and theater is about to begin. It is a festival that now forms part of the city's cultural landscape and connects fully with its artistic life. This year more than ever the Teatre Grec, which gives its name to the festival, is at the epicenter, but you will be able to see related events at a multitude of venues across Barcelona.
  
  This year's Grec de Barcelona Festival is a celebration of local talent, with artists it has helped to grow and who now represent Barcelona around the world. At the same time, it pays tribute to world masters of the performing arts.

  Circuit Festival

  The Circuit Festival is the biggest international LGBTIQ+ festival. Created in 2008 by the Matinée Group, each year brings with it over a week of clubbing, leisure activities and holidays that turn Barcelona into the summer's international gay capital. There are a variety of different activities to enjoy, such as pool parties, the Water Park Day, DJ sets and performances by famous artists on the gay scene and club nights. An event which just cannot be missed and which emphasizes the city's commitment to the LGBTIQ+ community.

  Gran Teatre del Liceu Season 20232024

  The Gran Teatre del Liceu is one of Barcelona's iconic venues and among the world's most spectacular opera houses. It begins the new season with an ambitious series of performances. The season will feature major works such as Turandot, Carmen, Un ballo in maschera and Fidelio. The theatre will also be hosting dance performances featuring A Midsummer Night's Dream performed by the Ballet Dortmund and The Swan Lake performed by Ballet del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
  
  There will also be concert performances of works by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Monteverdi. And, finally, families will be able to enjoy the season for kids, the Petit Liceu, which will feature different shows, including La Barcarola and Rossini's Kitchen.

  Festival de Jazz de Barcelona 2024

  The Barcelona Jazz Festival, Now in its 56th year, has become one of the world's leading jazz festivals as a result of its carefully curated roster of talents and an attractive line-up that is always full of new initiatives. This year, it will be bringing more than 50 concerts and activities, including master classes, talks and meetings with the performers, so you can enjoy the finest in jazz and great music.
  
  This year's venues, the Palau de la Música Catalana, L'Auditori, the Sala Paral·lel 62 and the Apolo Club, will be bringing you performers of the calibre of Brad Mehldau, Miguel Poveda and Andrea Motis.

  Festival del Millenni

  One of the most highly awaited music festivals of the season, the Festival del Mil·lenni will be celebrating its 26th edition. Spread out over several months, the Festival program schedules a series of concerts in the city's best theaters and auditoriums to cover almost all musical genres: from pop to Flamenco, as well as classic, folk and jazz music. Each year prominent international artists touch down in Barcelona and this year will be no different. This year's Mil·lenni Festival will be hosting artists of the likes of Tindersticks, Jay-Jay Johanson, Anastacia, Carlos Nuñez and Hinds.

  This may essentially be a festival based on only one instrument, but the sounds, performers and styles on the programme could scarcely be more wide-ranging. The skill of the organisers, leading Spanish music promoters The Project, in bringing together Catalan, Spanish, European and international performers from a variety of musical genres is quite something. Flamenco to pop, classic Cuban to contemporary Catalan, acoustic and electric, emerging and veteran acts – all this and more fills the many city venues that take part in Guitar BCN.

  Barcelona Obertura Spring Festival Ciutat de Clàssica

  The Barcelona Obertura Spring Festival, focusing on classical music, returns. Organised by Barcelona Obertura, Gran Teatre del Liceu Opera House, Palau de la Música Catalana and L'Auditori, Barcelona Obertura Classic & Lyric gives you the opportunity to hear top performers sing live, including singers from Spain and abroad, at these three venues.

  This year the programme will also feature Ciutat de Clàssica, a free performances itinerary at different emblematic locations around the city such as Casa Batlló, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, CASA SEAT, Fundació Miró, Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Barcelona City Council's network of civic centers, which repeat the collaboration with the festival, and new venues such as Mirador Torre Glòries, Palau Güell, Can Deu civic center and the Mercè Rodoreda and García Márquez libraries.
